STJ BEACON is very fortunate to boast about the newest member of the Salty Daze Fleet, THE SALT DECK. In 2019, THE SALT DECK came to life from the creative genius of long time St. Johnians, Justin and Kate Nesbitt, who know exactly how to please Visitors. It’s all about having fun for the whole family, enjoying the Caribbean, soaking up the sun and views while breathing in all the SALTY you can stand!
Home to Coral Bay, THE SALT DECK is a beautiful and spacious Pontoon Boat, 36’ Sun Tracker Mega Hut, offering relaxation for the adults, and the only second-story Waterslide on St. John for anyone who wants to put a big smile on their face as they slide and splash into the Caribbean! Fun in the Sun is what THE SALT DECK is all about! Complete with a Waterslide, yeti cooler, reef-safe sunscreen, Irie Pops, ample shade, brand new snorkel gear and awesome re-usable cups, they are ready to get you out on the water and make those memories you can sit around and talk about FOREVER!
COVID has effected so many businesses, and the boat charter tourism of St. John has been hit hard and some are having to change their business model until things change for the better. THE SALT DECK was not designed as a private charter, but they have found it necessary to begin the 2020-2021 season as a PRIVATE CHARTER because of COVID. Accommodating up to 12 Guests, THE SALT DECK will run two half day charters or one full day, leaving from the Coral Bay dinghy dock (located behind Skinny Legs). Both charters include snorkeling stops, lounging (waterslide, floats, etc.) around Hansen Bay/East End and ending at Lime Out VI to enjoy drinks and tacos!
THEY ARE A PROUD VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESS! THEY OFFER MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDER DISCOUNTS, REMEMBER TO INQUIRE WHEN BOOKING!
Salty Daze Charters is a family run, veteran-owned business with 30 years of roots on St. John, USVI. Kate first came to the islands at 4 years old, while her uncle managed Cinnamon Bay Campgrounds. Her whole family fell in love and they have been around here ever since. Captain Justin had his first taste of the islands during one of Kate’s family reunions, on the East End of St. John. After a cruise around the BVI and a couple jumps off the Willy T, Justin proposed to Kate and the rest is history. Kate, Justin, their two daughters, Magnolia and Azalea, along with their English Bulldog, Hawser, reside in Coral Bay.
