Paddle through Coral Bay’s calm turquoise waters, watch sea turtles grazing in seagrass beds, and then swim up to the famous floating taco bar, Lime Out, for a one-of-a-kind island lunch!
Your adventure begins with transportation from Mongoose Junction Shopping Center in Cruz Bay to Coral Bay, where your friendly Guide will set you up with easy-to-paddle two-person sit-on-top kayaks. We’ll launch from the beach and glide across the bay, surrounded by mangroves, maho trees, and stunning scenery. Along the way, your Guide will share fun stories about the history of Fortsberg and Coral Bay’s rich natural environment — past, present, and future.
Then you will paddle to a seagrass meadow where green sea turtles love to feed. Watch these gentle creatures surface for air right beside your kayak — a magical moment you will never forget. Next, you will head to the world famous floating taco restaurant, LIME OUT, where you will swim (wearing your life jacket) to the floating loungers to enjoy tacos and non-alcoholic drinks (available for purchase). Relax, laugh, and soak up the sunshine before paddling back to shore. A shuttle will be waiting to bring you back to Cruz Bay — or you can meet and depart directly from Coral Bay if preferred.
What can I expect on the tour?
This is a guided kayak tour in Coral Bay on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Round trip transportation is included. You will launch from a beach, glide along mangroves and maho trees, and visit a seagrass meadow where green sea turtles often feed. There is a short swim to the floating taco restaurant Lime Out while wearing your life jacket, time to relax on floating couches, and a paddle back to shore.
Where is the meeting point and is transportation included?
Round trip shuttle service is included from Mongoose Junction Shopping Center in Cruz Bay. You can also choose to meet your Guide directly in Coral Bay if that is more convenient for you.
What is included with this tour?
You will receive easy-to-paddle two person sit on top kayaks, paddles, life jackets, a dry bag for your belongings, and a knowledgeable local Guide. Round trip shuttle from Mongoose Junction Shopping Center to Coral Bay is included.
Do we stop at Lime Out during this tour?
Yes! We make a swim stop at the floating taco bar known as Lime Out. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
What should I bring?
Wear a swimsuit and water-friendly footwear, and bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses. Pack a waterproof phone pouch if you want photos, and bring payment for tacos and non-alcoholic beverages at the Lime Out.
How difficult is the kayaking and swimming portion?
The kayaks are stable tandem sit-on-tops suited for beginners and casual paddlers. The swim to the taco bar is short and done with life jackets on, and your Guide will set an easy pace.
Will we see sea turtles for sure?
Sea turtles are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Coral Bay has healthy seagrass beds where turtles commonly feed, which makes encounters likely on many tours. Everyone will be looking to see their heads popping up!
What is the cancellation policy?
Your booking is fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before your tour. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine (with the exception of lightning). In the rare case that weather prevents us from running the tour, we will gladly provide a full refund.
